A "Location" here can be a shop, a landmark, a police station, or anything else with a place in the world, all managed from this admin panel and served to other applications through a REST API.

Larks is a location directory: a structured, searchable database of real-world places, built on top of a proper geographic hierarchy rather than free-text addresses. It's industry-agnostic - a "Location" can be a shop, a landmark, a police station, or anything else with a place in the world - which is what makes the same data model reusable across very different use cases.
This site is the admin panel for maintaining that data; the same records are also served to external applications through the REST API (see API Specification).
